Our founder and medical director, Richard W. Moretuzzo, MD. is a board-certified reproductive endocrinology and infertility subspecialist with more than 20 years of clinical and research experience.

Rigorous Screening & Personalized Matching:
Potential donors (anonymous and known) are thoroughly evaluated by our team. We adhere strictly to the recommendations set forth by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. Candidates go through complete physical and psychological screenings before being accepted into our program. Women who enter into the Egg Donor Program are then carefully paired with recipients in terms of their ethnicity and physical characteristics as well as many of the intangibles that are part of creating the best outcomes now and for the long term. Everyone involved is counseled before and during
treatment to ensure that donors and recipient couples are making completely informed decisions and are comfortable with the process.
Technologically Advanced Facilities and Services:
Our office-based approach makes all stages of egg donation and IVF convenient and comfortable for patients. The Akron facility is also home to Reproductive Gynecology Laboratories, which features our new state-of-the-art embryology and andrology lab. These laboratory capabilities allow for complete sperm testing and preparationas well as micromanipulation techniques, including intracytoplasmic sperm injection, blastocyst culture and assisted hatching.
Our Egg Donor Program
Services and Capabilities:
• Patient education and detailed instruction in self-administering medications
• Monitoring and cycle coordination between donor and recipient
• Recipient preparation and egg retrieval
• Embryo culture preparation (to blastocyst stage in order to reduce multiple gestations)
• Ultrasound-guided transfer (with assisted hatching, if needed)
• Continual estrogen and progesterone treatment until approx-
imately the tenth week of pregnancy
When technologies such as intracytoplasmic sperm injection fail (or if an anonymous donor is desired for whatever reason), we also offer donor sperm services. Reproductive Gynecology works with a national sperm bank to ensure quality and complete discretion for patients. As with any assisted reproductive technology, we take all the time necessary to inform and empower patients to make the decisions that are best for them and their future.
